An Advisory Firm Built Around the Word 'Compliant'
Sparkgforge was established in Celje in 2017 to address a gap in the market: offshore advisors who could combine genuine jurisdictional expertise with rigorous compliance standards.
What Sparkgforge does, in plain terms
Sparkgforge is an offshore investment advisory firm. We help privately held businesses, entrepreneurial families, and mid-market corporate groups design and maintain international holding and operating structures that are legally sound, operationally coherent, and built to withstand regulatory examination. The four disciplines we practise — structuring, international banking advisory, strategic advisory, and ongoing compliance monitoring — are rarely found under one roof at the standard we provide. Most clients come to us because they have an existing structure that was designed years ago and has never been reviewed against current OECD and EU standards, or because they are expanding internationally and need a structure that will not create problems in their home jurisdiction. We are based in Celje, Slovenia, which places us within a few hours of Vienna, Zagreb, Milan, and Budapest — a practical advantage for clients in the Alpine-Adriatic corridor who need face-to-face advisory contact. Since 2017, we have completed more than 140 structuring engagements across eleven jurisdictions. Our clients are predominantly based in Central and Western Europe, with a meaningful concentration in Austria, Germany, and the Adriatic region.
How we work, and what we do not promise
Every engagement at Sparkgforge begins with a written scope document. We do not start work on the basis of a verbal agreement, and we do not provide indicative tax opinions without first reviewing the relevant facts in writing. Our advisory process is deliberately methodical: fact-find, preliminary options analysis, client decision, implementation, and then ongoing monitoring. Most structuring engagements take eight to fourteen weeks from engagement letter to completed structure. We work with a panel of vetted local counsel in each jurisdiction we cover; we do not subcontract to whoever is cheapest or most available. Where a client asks for something we cannot do well — litigation support, home-country tax return preparation, or accounting services — we say so and refer them to appropriate specialists rather than expand our scope beyond our competence. Tax law changes, and the outcome of any structure depends in part on facts and legal developments that neither we nor any other adviser can fully predict. We are explicit about that with every client before they engage us.
